This vessel is designed for unrestricted service and is constructed of steel, featuring a single deck, double bottoms, single hull, hybrid frame, a forecastle, a single propeller, a single rudder, and a stern engine arrangement. It employs a single low-speed two-stroke diesel engine, with the main engine's power output driving a fixed-pitch propeller via an intermediate shaft and a propeller shaft. The vessel is equipped with a double bottom and a rudder horn.
This vessel is primarily used for the transfer of fishery catches from fishing grounds to ports, as well as for the transportation of aquatic products between ports. With a total length of 128.00m, a beam of 18.00m, and a depth of 10.20m, it has a deadweight tonnage of approximately 7,600 tons. The vessel was successfully delivered and officially put into operation in August 2024, primarily serving fishing and cargo routes in the South Pacific, North Pacific, Atlantic, Kiribati, and Argentina.
Currently, domestic refrigerated transport ships have relatively small tonnages, typically ranging from hundreds to thousands of tons, and their equipment is outdated. The successful construction of this ship and its superior performance are the best testament to Hongsheng Shipbuilding's capabilities. Through continuous efforts, Hongsheng Shipyard has overcome numerous difficulties in technological innovation, equipment selection, design optimization, construction techniques, and more. Technologically, it has finally achieved a leapfrog in overtaking competitors, accomplishing what only large state-owned shipyards can do with a private shipyard. At the same time, it has also saved shipowners considerable shipbuilding funds.
