The "Dongnanjun 18" vessel is a global unrestricted-area dredger with a bow-blowing and drag suction system. It has a length of 117.1 meters, a beam of 24 meters, a depth of 8 meters, and a total hold capacity of 8,658 cubic meters. It is equipped with two MAN9L32/40 main engines, each with a power of 4,500KW, and a design speed of 15 knots.
In order to actively respond to the national "dual carbon" strategy, the "Southeast Dredger 18" vessel incorporates the concept of energy conservation and emission reduction in its design, comprehensively optimizing its power system, power distribution system, automatic control system, dredging management system, etc. In particular, the dredge pump, high-pressure flushing pump, bow thruster, and hydraulic pump station all adopt variable frequency electric drives, changing the previous direct diesel engine drive mode, reducing carbon emissions, lowering maintenance costs in later operations, and improving the degree of automatic control. The "Southeast Dredger 18" vessel successfully completed its maiden voyage on May 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone.
The "Southeast Jun 18" vessel has now turned from a blueprint into reality and is about to embark on its long journey, contributing to China's marine engineering, port construction, and channel dredging industries, and also showcasing the prowess of China's trailing suction hopper dredgers in the international market, adding to its already impressive achievements!
